U is for Under my Umbrella

Who is that hiding Under my Umbrella?

Our favorite umbrella game . . .

Child hides under an umbrella.
Ms Tamra Squirts them with water from a spray bottle
(sometimes she sneaks some under the umbrella too!)
while the class sings . . .

"Rain is falling all around,
On the housetops, on the ground.
Rain is falling on my nose,
On my head and hands and toes!"

J is for Jobs!

Sing to "Adams Family"

Different jobs (clap, clap) different jobs (clap, clap)
different jobs, different jobs, different jobs!

You can be a (fireman) or (baker), a (scientist) or (doctor)

Or anything you want!

Different jobs (clap, clap) different jobs (clap, clap)
different jobs, different jobs, different jobs!

Phone number song

As part of safety week, I created a little song to help kids learn their phone numbers.  We'll be working on this the rest of the year and hopefully they'll have it down by graduation.  So far it's been a hit . . . the kids are singing it EVERYWHERE!

Here's the song card to print:
Here's a little video to help you get a feel for how the words work with the tune.  Just fill in the phone number on the "da da da" parts.

Elephants at play . . .

Here's a twist on a familiar song that the kids have REALLy enjoyed.
We are singing it ALOT!

In case your kids are trying to sing it at home--here are the words!
(to the tune of "five little ducks went out to play")

One elephant went out to play
Over the hills and far away
He saw another elephant
"Hey, come over and play with me!"

Two elephants went out to play
Over the hills and far away
They saw another elephant
"Hey, come over and play with us!"

We sing all the way up to ten . . . or sometimes even farther!
